Many phlebology services are considered to be cosmetic and therefore are not covered by private insurance or Medicare. If a vein problem is severe enough, many insurance companies will cover all or part of the expense of diagnosing and treating these problems.  Dr. Crowther is now a provider for many insurance companies and is applying to be a provider in others. If it is determined that you have a condition that may be covered by your medical insurance, preauthorization of covered services can be handled before treatment.
